Is a work stored in a digital repository a version of that work?

No. A work stored in a digital repository is not a version of that work. Instead, the repository functions as a container for the work. If you were to create a works-cited-list entry for a work from the repository CORE, you would list the relevant publication details for CORE in the slots for container 2. For an example, see our post on citing a syllabus.
