How can I distinguish a born-digital photograph from an analog photograph in a works-cited-list entry?

Sometimes the best place to give supplemental information about a source is in the running text of your paper or in an endnote. This is the case here, where there is no easy way to show in a works-cited-list entry whether a photograph was taken with a camera using film or with a digital camera. If you want the reader to know that Cindy Sherman did not use digital photography in her early work, you might write, for instance:

Sherman’s Untitled Film Stills were taken using an SLR camera and black-and-white film.
