Samuel Perry

Samuel Perry is associate professor of East Asian studies and comparative literature at Brown University. A specialist in Japanese and Korean literature and culture, he is the author of Recasting Red Culture in Proletarian Japan: Childhood, Korea, and the Historical Avant-Garde (2014) and the translator of Kang Kyŏng-ae’s novel From Wŏnso Pond (2009) as well as a collection of stories by Sata Ineko, Five Faces of Japanese Feminism: Crimson and Other Works (2016).
