To cite a travel brochure or guidebook, follow the MLA template of core elements. If the brochure or guidebook identifies an author or authors, list those names in the Author element, followed by the title in the Title of Source element. (If the brochure or guidebook does not identify an author or authors, begin the works-cited-list entry with the title, as shown in the second example below.) After the title, list the organization that produced the brochure or guidebook in the Publisher element, followed by the year of publication in the Publication Date element. For clarity, you may wish to note the medium of publication in the final supplemental element, as in the second example:

Ranger, Helen, et al. Morocco. Lonely Planet, 2025.

Washington, DCTrip Builder2000Brochure

If you are citing a digital brochure or guidebook, make sure to include additional information about the website on which the brochure or guidebook was accessed. In the following example of a guidebook downloaded online, the name of the website, National Museum of Ireland, is given in the Title of Container element, followed by the website copyright date in the Publication Date element and the URL in the Location element.

Dunlevy, Mairead, et al. Guide to the National Museum of Ireland: Decorative Arts and History. National Museum of Ireland, 2025, www.museum.ie/en-IE/Museums/Decorative-Arts-History/Visitor-Information/Guidebooks-Floor-Plans. PDF download.
